Converse has been sweeping the streets for recent two years. Most of people have one pair of Converse. Now Converse comes back to basketball shoes market. It brings the new basketball shoes Converse All Star Pro BB.
Although the appearance is still the retro type Converse, but after Converse becoming the subsidiary corporation of NIKE, it gets strong technology support from NIKE.
- The classis but special appearance
As the first pair of basketball shoes for Converse coming back to basketball field, Converse should have pay high attention on it, not matter the appearance or technology configuration.
After seeing the appearance, you know, that’s Converse.
The All Star Pro BB includes the two classic design features of Converse basketball shoes.
It’s the high retro type, and it’s assisted by the symbolic orange reinforcing rib design on the insole.
And the jacinth stitching and transparent hot-melting reinforcement also emphasize that is a modern basketball shoes.
▼ All Star elements
Star Sword Logo on the shoe side reminds us the classic basketball shoes Pro Leather and the impressive Weapon shoe body.
The flat shoe laces is also the characteristic of Converse. And it also make reinforcement for the holes of shoelaces.

The designer Eric Avar said “All Star Pro BB is based on Converse’s DNA”
▼ The shoe head still keep the semicircle section of All Star
Eric Avar has designed many classic basketball shoes for Kobe. He also put Nike’s technology in this sneaker.
- The strong technology from inside to outside
As it uses NIKE’s technology in the shoes, we don’t need to worry about the performance.
The biggest characteristic is the full-length React insole construction which can be pulled out.
You may think of Kobe A.D. NXT 360 now. Exactly, it’s also designed by Eric Avar. But this time Converse All Star Pro BB uses full-length React cushion technology. The feedback is more obvious and faster.
▼ The whole insole can be pulled out
After pulling out the shoe-pad, we can see that the all-around is upturning, which improves the wrapping performance and stability.
The upper side of shoe-pad is made of lint which can improve the force of friction. It’s printed with Converse and NIKE REACT.
The vamp is made of Quadifit ventilated mesh with canvas. It’s very ventilated and also reduces the weight.
▼ The ventilated mesh is obvious
The heel tendon part is made of cotton to avoid grinding the ankle.
And an extra sponge is added in the lining of the ankle part. It improves the comfort level.

For the outsole, it’s grid-like pattern with irregular size distribution. The traction performance and durability is not bad.

- It’s suitable for daily wearing and playing basketball
The size is normal size, even if your foot is wide type, you can choose the normal size.
The unit weight of size EUR42 is about 323g. It’s light type.
The traditional shoelaces design is easier to wear than socks type shoes.

After fastening the shoelaces, as the insole is upturning high enough, so the shoes can cover the foot well. And the insole is very stable.
For cushion performance, it’s very comfortable on daily wearing. It has enough elasticity and support. So you won’t feel sore after walking for a long time.
I suggest you to wear high type socks. As the stitching on the collar lining is a little stiff.
After playing a basketball match, below is our performance review.
The cushion performance is excellent, not matter for starting or jumping, I can obviously feel the cushion feedback.
The vamp is light and ventilated. After fastening the shoelaces, it can fit well with the foot. It’s very comfortable, but the support of ankle is not enough.
The traction performance is also great, but it doesn’t have special design for anti-torsion, so the support of ankle is not enough.
With full-length React insole, the cushion and feedback is great. The ventilated vamp is also a new conception. With the classic appearance of Converse, the cost performance is not bad.
This pair of All Star Pro BB is undoubtedly another milestone in Converse basketball history. Are you interested in it?
